HOLLYWOOD COMES TO BOOMVILLE

She’s taken on cartels and terrorists, but can she take on Hollywood?

When a hot-shot Hollywood producer picks Boomville as the setting for his new movie, the entire town is affected, from the local weed dealer supplying the cast and crew to the barflies competing for roles as extras. But behind the fever-pitch excitement, something foul is afoot and a darker reality simmers beneath the shiny surface: the movie shoot has experienced one mishap after another and the violence is starting to escalate, going from expired dairy products to attempted murder. When Brandy is hired to investigate on the sly so the show can go on, she finds herself interacting with the world-famous star of the movie, Damien Dexter; his glamorous costar Geneva Prince; the grande dame of the silver screen, Margot Chesterfield; Hollywood’s hottest new director, Malcolm McFinn, fresh from the Cannes Film Festival with a Palme d’Or and a passionate vision Brandy finds hard to resist; and an entire staff and crew of possible suspects.

As Brandy uncovers hidden motives, petty jealousies, dirty secrets and unsettled scores, starts making friends and enemies on set and tries to overcome the age-old challenge of questioning a person of interest you are not contractually allowed to make eye contact with, she becomes the target of deadly attacks herself. In a last-ditch attempt to identify and stop the saboteur, she flies to Los Angeles to follow a promising lead, only to find that a few surprises await—some pleasant, some not so pleasant.

Meanwhile, Brandy’s sister Annie expands her fledgling food cart business and adapts her menu to Hollywood taste; Winston-the-dog’s gravity-defying acrobatics finally pay off; and Brandy’s feelings for the unavailable Lieutenant John Pritzky continue to torment her as the two are forced to work together to prevent tragedy on the movie shoot.

 A humorous, sexy, suspenseful, and very Hollywood  mystery thriller packed with heart-pounding action scenes, verbal zingers and soulful interludes, featuring Brandy’s trademark musings and observations, most of Boomville’s usual suspects and a handful of memorable guest stars.
